XAML Syntax Changes Ahead for Mapping PIs - Comments?

Hello,

Chris Anderson - a Microsoft "architect" on the Avalon team - writes
in the blog story titled "Quick disections of Windows Forms in XAML":

The first two tags are "mapping PIs". These will be going away in a
future rev of the XAML spec, but for now they are the way to import a
namespace/assembly into an XML namespace.

Does anyone know what will be the replacement syntax for the
"mapping PIs"? Will Microsoft (yet again) copy the cleaner MyXAML
approach?

Any comments? Any insight?
